简介：这是一个东京男子20年间的故事。　　从千叶县浦安的老家来到东京都内著名私立大学就读的佐东翔太，在得知女朋友与比自己大的有钱男人在一起玩后，发誓要在东京更上一层楼，并说出“女人到底就是为了钱”的话。　　毕业后，翔太进入一流商社就职，过上了事业爱情两丰收的生活。但是人到中年，翔太在和勤奋工作的同期生小岛的事业之争中落败，又和希望结婚对象年收入超过3000万的恋人南分手，他的观念才由此发生了改变。翔太与高中同学、现任风险投资企业的CEO一马重逢，选择放弃稳定的高薪投身创业。在此期间又与琉璃子相互扶持产生了感情，两人从同事变成了恋人，翔太重新认识了在东京生活的意义。一边为财富、事业和爱情奋斗一边长大，翔太最终找到了自己人生的方向。
